City, county, local business and personal…Oh my. Kiwanis Discovery Day had it all!
What started out to be a breezy and chilly morning gave way to families braving the weather to see what vehicles were on display. Kids, old and young alike, enjoyed looking at, playing on, and being able to operate some of the equipment. Platte County Weed & Pest partook in the festivities.
The Roads Truck was filled with 200 gallons of water and 5 ounces of blue dye to show levels in the tank. This vehicle treats noxious weeds on the county and state rights-of-way.
Also on display, a 4-wheeler with a spray tank. This vehicle treats noxious weeds in pastures and rangelands.
Weed and Pest personnel were on hand to answer questions and assist future PCWP employees on and off the 4-wheeler and Roads Truck.
It was a successful day!
