Another successful West Science Day!
Platte County Weed and Pest participated in the festivities. We started with introductions which led to how Weed and Pest helps landowners control weeds and pests on their properties, with special emphasis on how our seasonals are trained to identify noxious weeds and pests so we know what needs to be done to help protect our ecosystems.
The students designed an Ecosystem. Each student drew a biotic component for a larger ecosystem. They discussed with each other where their drawing would be placed in the ecosystem and started their creation. Cooperation was at it’s best while the students were discussing where things should be placed. Students making suggestions to other students and coming up with some fantastic ideas.
