It was another successful event.
Good crowd, good food, good music.
Even though summer is on its way out, people are already planning what they can do to combat their weeds and pests for next year.
The hot topics this Fall are Cheatgrass and Prairie Dogs.
Cheatgrass is an ongoing battle every year.
This was a very productive year for Prairie Dog says Pat, since the dogs were able to deliver two litters of pups.
New to the display this year was Platte County Weed and Pest Tic-Tac-Toe. The players were able to choose between Grasshoppers, Prairie Dogs, Dalmatian toadflax, Leafy spurge or Whitetop for their playing pieces. While playing the game Missy introduced some interesting facts about Invasive Species that were chosen to play. Somehow the kids always won…😊
